Difference is NIGHT and DAY
The difference between this blow dryer and a cheaper brand like conair or revlon is amazing! I don't even have to straighten my hair because it gives it a frizz free, beach blown look. I have naturally straight hair so if you have curly hair then it might not do that for you but my favorite feature is that when I am done my hair is frizz free and like 50% more soft where with other dryers I have used in the past it would require some product to minimize the frizz. I can tell that this dryer damages your hair less than other blow dryers which of course is Great! I recommend it to everyone!

Do NOT purchase this dryer!
I was sucked in by the positive reviews of this product, but unfortunately, this didn't work any better than a $20 dryer from Target. I've been using it for the past 15 months and, like several other reviews stated, the heating element failed. So now I'm out $80 and just went back to Target and bought a Conair for $20. Would NOT recommend this product.

Fantastic hairdryer
I purchased this hairdryer after reading all of the reviews. I was hesitant only because of the cost but I am really glad I spent the money. What used to take me 20 minutes now takes me 5-7 minutes. The hair dryer I used to have made my hair dry and full of static. This hair dryer somehow does not dry out my hair and the static is gone. It is much quieter, too. It's fairly light and easy to handle and it has a "cool" button. I am very glad I made this purchase and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a hairdryer.

Don't waste your money
I purchased this dryer because I owned a Chi previously which I loved. That one lasted me for over five years - this one lasted for less than 6 months. For the money I paid, I would expect better quality. The dryer no longer gets even close to warm, which makes it impossible to dry hair.

My Third One.
This is my third Farouk Chi Hairdryer. I love them. They dry thick hair quickly and leave a lovely shine in your hair afterwards. My daughter and I share ours. In comparison to other hairdryers (department store/hotel) the drying time is cut by half.
